Many of the schools in Washington County are diverting the waste they generate through school recycling programs. The Environmental Affairs and Recycling Department provides technical support to set up a program and assist with research and grantwriting. Our department also facilitates educational activities to maintain a strong waste reduction program. These activities are correlated to state education frameworks and reinforce concepts of responsibility, respect, and community.
